Flightless Cormorant
Also known as the Galapagos Cormorant, this bird is earns it's name because of it's extremely short wings. They are Vulnerable on the Red Data List. However, like all Cormorants, they still swim. These birds like to feed near the sea floor and they also feed about 100 meters offshore. Their main food source is fish, small  octopuses  and eels. They are the largest of their kind, at about 89 - 100 cm long, and 2.5 - 5 kilograms. This small, but rare cormorant has a turquoise eye, while the juvenile has a dark black eye. surprisingly, they hardly ever travels further than 1 kilometer from the breeding griunds.

Since there's nothing to build with, on the Galapagos Islands, the Flightless Cormorant  uses seaweed and Sea Urchins and other sea plants and animals. Sometimes, however, the female rejects the male's offering. Scientists believe this time bonds their relationship with each other more and more.
