Why Birding? Have you ever wondered what bird is hopping around your garden eating worms? It is probally a Thrush. Birds are fascinating creatures. They are the only animals that have feathers. This webpage is about my Bird sightings and a bit about birds. Birds can do mating shows which can be funny or amazing. Birds also hover, and soar. Hummingbirds, Kestrels, Falcons, and Sunbirds (rarely) hover. Many Birds of Prey soar like Eagles and Vultures.

Ten Birding Rules: These bird watching rules will help you to know what to do before and during a birding outing: 1. Gather your Binoculars and your bird book. 2. Study the shape of different birds. 3. Choose to bird in a place well away from the city. 4. Try getting a bird list for the area you’re birding in. 5. If you want to see a certain bird, go to the bird’s habitat. You can find this out in a bird book. 6. Don’t wear bright clothes when you’re birding. 7. There are two ways you can bird: You can sit and wait for the birds or go find them. 8. Try to find a place where you can see the birds, but they can’t see you. 9. Be quiet. 10. Be patient.
